Benefactors of the Young Patronesses of the Opera’s upcoming Wonderland Ball enjoyed a fantastical evening of wonder 56 floors above Miami's majestic downtown in the Carlos Ott Penthouse of Echo Brickell. Sponsored by Property Markets Group, Gerard Bertrand Wines, and The Agatston Center for Private guests of the benefactor party, were wowed by the beautiful Miami skyline as they nibbled on delectable bites and sipped on Figenza Vodka cocktails. Guests were then surprised with a special Master wine class with award-winning wines from Gerard Bertrand. One of America’s premiere sommeliers, Rick Garced, flew in from New York just for the event to lead the tasting!
Tony-Award Nominee Receives Frost Distinguished Alumnus Award University of Miami rolled out the red-carpet Monday for three-time Tony award nominee Joshua Henry, who returned to Gusman Hall receive the Frost School of Music Distinguished Alumnus Award. The award was presented by Associate Dean of Graduate Studies Shannon K. de l’Etoile when the Frost Music Live Signature Series concert, Broadway @Frost concluded. Henry performed in the show with Broadway’s Phantom of the Opera star and the current voice of Good Morning America star Marcus Lovett and his daughter Cathryn Lovett, who is also a Frost alumnus. Joining them on stage were Dan Strange of the Frost Faculty and the Frost Musical Theater Workshop and Opera Theater Students.
Park Grove Grand Opening
The Related Group and Terra Group, the powerhouse developers behind Park Grove, celebrated their first collaboration with a party on the pool deck complete with whimsical entertainers and a live performance by award-winning jazz vocalist Nicole Henry and her band. Guests had a behind-the-scenes look at the development's luxe amenities including a five-acre sculpture park by Enzo Enea, an outdoor amphitheater and an Artefacto-designed model home. With champagne in hand, attendees were welcomed by The Related Group's CEO and Chairman Jorge Perez, Terra Group's President David Martin and City of Miami Mayor Suarez. An elegant night for all to socialize and savor light bites of short rib and risotto, mini poké bowls and ceviche.
