Rag & Bone Fall/Winter 2014-2015 Collection – New York Fashion Week
“A mix of a lot of things.” The definition of the newestRag & Bone fall/winter 2014-2015 collectioncouldn’t be any better, as the creative designers of the brand, Marcus Wainwright and David Neville tried to explain the message of the newRag & Boneline, unveiled during the second day ofNew York Fashion Week fall 2014. It literally had it all, from cargo pants and name-embroidered cool jackets to chunky knitwear, modest A-line designs, oversized pieces and, of course, versatile leather! In case you want to discover all the fall/winter 2014-2015 fashion trends right now, simply browse through the stunning Rag & Bone fall/winter 2014-2015 collection and you’ll instantly get the message!
The Rag & Bone fall/winter 2014-2015 collection seems to be a node to the working man and to the soldier, and this concept is well pictured in the stunning outfit choices and small details, like the name-printed mechanics’ jackets that Georgia May Jagger and Jourdan Dunn had on or the traditional Cooki sweaters, reminding of the English military men. Even the overall color palette of the line seemed to have been adjusted the way to perfectly fit in with the factory mood. To this end, the line brought mainly dark subdued tones, ranging from black, dark gray and mud tones to navy blue and dark green, sometimes interrupted either with bright red or calmer light gray. No less importance was given to the beautiful watercolor patterns and the British plaid.
Apart from the main and the much explicit influence of the Rag & Bone fall/winter 2014-2015 collection, the line also had a brilliant portion of clothing pieces well-kept to bring back an air of the Fifties, when “Frank Sinatra meets Fifties bowling and English Teddy Boys.” The lace-up high-waisted tailored tight pants and the cropped jackets are some of the best examples of this tendency spotted in the line.
Since it was about the cold season, surely a lot of importance was given to the outerwear options, which were pictured in a rich diversity, from fluffy parkas and shearling coats to shaggy hairy knit jackets and leather coats. Apart from this, the Rag & Bone fall/winter 2014-2015 collection had wanna-have oversized pants, simple short shorts matched with plain tees, pencil skirt ensembles either printed or monochrome, some feminine dresses mainly cut at the knee-length or a bit longer, as well as eye-catching accessory options, like the knee-length red boots or the attention-grabbing red bags!
Wholly, the Rag & Bone fall/winter 2014-2015 collection brought “cool clothes for cool girls,” as Wainwright put it! We can’t but be more than sure of that!
